Baronof Island Brewing Company in Sitka Alaska is worth the stop. Several great craft beers, including Sitka Spruce Tip (my favorite). I don’t go to Sitka often, but when I do I visit this brewery.

Alaskan Brewery – Juneau AK
The small waterside city of Juneau is home for this huge brewery, even though there are no roads and no train service into Juneau. Hoodoo Brewery – Fairbanks AK
Great beer, great place. The servers were fantastic and the crowd was fired up. The inside tasting room is fairly small, so I wonder what they do during those cold Alaska winter months… Great vibe, great beer, great place!
Glacier Brewery – Anchorage AK
Great name, solid beer, but this is a restaurant that happens to brew its own beer. The brewers were nice, and gave us a free tour. Again, I like the beer, but it’s missing brewery atmosphere.
Moose’s Tooth – Anchorage AK
We had a nice visit to this brewery. It was beyond packed with a line, as it is primarily a restaurant. The staff was nice, but stretched super thin. The beer is not the priority, as the restaurant rules. The beer was good, but this does not have a brewery feel. The best part was […]
Silver Gulch – Fairbanks AK
I ordered all 13 samples, but the rude staff and lame service eclipsed the beer. It is rare that this blog will disparage a brewery, but this place hits the bottom of the list. We went there with mild-manner locals, who were so embarrassed and frustrated. Our friends apologized for days. I will never return. […]
