I truly love this microbrewery. It’s a bit small with a small system, but with a local feel that cant be beat. They recently added food options, which is always a plus. They have a relatively small 2 barrel system, which allows them to make many styles. And they have naming their beers with selections […]

Dirty Oar – Cocoa FL
A new microbrewery with passionate owners, just west of Cocoa on the main drag not far from I95. Even the stark facade, bare walls and gray paint can’t bring you down, as there is some energy here and a nice variety of beers. I look forward to coming back after they’ve been open longer. Good […]
Optimism Brewery – Seattle Washington
Optimism Brewing Company – Seattle WA. A nice sized brewery, with solid bones and a wide variety of tasty craft beer. In an old building in Seattle, the brewing area is surrounded by the large taproom, ensure you know you’re in a micro-brewery. There is a no-tipping philosophy, along with a mindful culture that seems […]
Invasive Species – Fort Lauderdale FL
A true handmade craft beer microbrewery with the equipment and taproom merged into a true brewery experience. This makes the list of favorites. Plus it’s located on a small side street in trendy Flagler Village just north of Fort Lauderdale. There’s a secluded outdoor space in the back, that sometimes has live music and a […]
Appalachian Brewpub – Lititz PA
Basically a restaurant chain that serves beer made at large offsite location. There is some brewing equipment here, but none of it was active. They serve bar food plus, and have a bar feel. We had a nice time, but its not a microbrewery. IMG_7271 IMG_7286
Thunder Island Brewing – Columbia River Gorge, OR
Thunder Island Brewery is right on the Columbia River in Cashcade Lock Oregon, serving craft beers and decent food. Gotta love it. I could visit this place everyday! The view, beer, and service are simply magnificent!
Destin Brewery – Destin, FL
Natahala Brewing – Bryson City NC
This feels more like a production brewery to me…and I just couldnt find a beer I liked. This is so rare – luckily. Sorry to report this, but this was not a brewery for me 🙁 This is especially sad, as i love whitewater rafting on the Nantahala river. The silo out front is a […]
Big Spruce – Nova Scotia Canada
Great people and a small serving room, with an outdoor tasting room that’s probably pretty cold during an Canadian winter! They have fun beers with fun names (Spruce Springsteen), for example, and even make their own beer syrup for pancakes. Plus I enjoyed the hop fields out back. Yup, good stuff. IMG_4297
